Azad Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission AJK has the mandate to conduct written test, interview and psychological test for the candidates of AJK who want to join the civil services of the area. These exams are called competitive exams which are held in order to fill the vacant seats of AJK Govt. with grade 17 or above. AJK has different structure of government as compared to provinces of Pakistan and these competitive exams are very important in this context. These exams are conducted by AJKPSC almost every year and thousands of candidates appear in these exams. Candidates having bachelor degree and domicile of AJK are allowed to appear in these competitive exams. In the initial stage, written tests are held for the eligible candidates according to the schedule.

Few months after the exams, the results of written test are announced which are immediately uploaded at the official site of the commission for the convenience of students. Soon after the result announcement of written tests, the schedule of interviews and psychological test is also announced and the passing candidates of written test are called for their interviews and psychological tests according to the schedule. The interviews and psychological tests are conducted by AJKPSC on due date and the results are issued after few days of the interviews and psychological tests. These AJKPSC results are also uploaded at the official site of AJKPSC soon after the result announcement by the commission.
